La Laguna Tenerife has reached a new agreement with Aaron Doornekamp, keeping the 40-year-old forward for another season.
Doornekamp averaged 7.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in the Spanish League last season, helping Tenerife reach both the domestic semifinals and the Basketball Champions League Final Four. Across eight seasons and two spells with the club, he has won two BCL titles and the 2023 Intercontinental Cup.
Elsewhere, ratiopharm Ulm brought Michael Rataj back on a two-year deal. The 22-year-old forward returns to the club where he began his professional career after four years in the United States and a strong finish to last season with ALBA Berlin, where he contributed to the German championship run.
Rataj averaged 9.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in the playoffs, including 16 points and nine rebounds in the semifinal closeout against Bamberg and 15 points in Game 2 of the finals against Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Tortona strengthened its backcourt by signing Aljami Durham.
The 27-year-old point guard arrives from Cremona, where he posted 14.5 points and 3.1 assists per game in the Italian League. Durham returns to the EuroCup after previously competing in the competition with Hamburg during the 2023-24 season.
