Stefan Jovic is the new addition to Aris BC, which, under coach Vassilis Spanoulis, is aiming high in the BKT EuroCup.
Per the press release: ARIS Betsson BC announces the signing of Stefan Jović for the 2026–27 season, with an option to renew his contract for the 2027–28 campaign.
Stefan Jović was born on November 3, 1990. Standing at 1.98 metres, he plays at point guard.
The Serbian guard played for Sloga from 2010 to 2012 before joining KK Radnički, where he remained until 2014. That year, he signed a three-year contract with Crvena zvezda. During his first season, he won the ABA League, the Serbian Championship and the Serbian Cup, while also making 19 EuroLeague appearances.
During the 2015–16 season, Jović set a EuroLeague record by providing 19 assists in a game against Bayern Munich. He was also named MVP of the ABA League Finals.
In 2017, he signed a two-year contract with Bayern Munich. During his first season, he won the German Championship, averaging 7.4 points and 5.3 assists in the domestic league, as well as 5.3 points and 5.6 assists in the BKT EuroCup.
In the 2018–19 season, he won the German Championship again, averaging 6.3 points and 4.8 assists domestically. In the EuroLeague, he recorded 8.3 points and 4.6 assists across 23 games.
In 2019, he signed a two-year contract with Khimki. During his first season, he averaged 7.6 points and 4.2 assists in 23 EuroLeague appearances. In his second year, he dealt with an injury and appeared in eight games, averaging 4.4 points and 3.8 assists.
Midway through the 2021–22 season, Stefan Jović moved to Greece for the first time to join Panathinaikos AKTOR. He averaged 3.4 points and 2 assists in the Greek competitions, along with 3.5 points and 2.2 assists in the EuroLeague.
In 2022, he signed with Zaragoza, where he averaged 8.7 points and 4.2 assists. He then joined Valencia on a two-year contract. During his first season, in 2023–24, he averaged 4.9 points and 3.2 assists across 60 games. In the following campaign, he recorded 4 points and 4.4 assists in 45 appearances.
Last season, he returned to Bayern Munich, averaging 5.7 points and 4.5 assists across 29 games.
Throughout his club career, Stefan Jović has won a total of 11 titles: three ABA League championships, three Serbian Championships, two Serbian Cups, two German Championships and one German Cup.
At international level, ARIS Betsson’s new signing has been an integral member of Serbia’s national teams. Overall, he has won one silver medal and five bronze medals with his country in major international competitions.
