NBA center Isaiah Hartenstein has reaffirmed his deep connection to ratiopharm ulm by hosting the final edition of his Hart of the Court event series at the club’s flagship OrangeCampus.
As an active investor in the German BKT EuroCup side, the 28-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center effectively bridged his NBA success with grassroots athletic development. The high-energy community festival featured a premier €12,000 3×3 tournament, a newly introduced 1v1 competition, fan meet-and-greets, exclusive merchandise booths, and live musical performances.
Following the main tournament, Hartenstein joined his father, Florian, and a dedicated team of 20 elite coaches to launch the second annual Hartenstein Summer Camp. Over 150 young athletes aged 12 to 16 received personalized footwear alongside custom training gear. The participants spent three intensive days mastering fundamental basketball mechanics directly from the NBA star, who heavily emphasized the importance of work ethic, dedication, and relentlessly pursuing their dreams.
A veteran of 490 NBA games and a 2025 champion with Oklahoma City, the Oregon-born German national team member secured his long-term future by penning a lucrative three-year contract extension with the Thunder in late June.
With these summer festivities concluding, competitive focus now officially shifts to the upcoming calendar as Ulm prepares for a demanding multi-front campaign. Heading into the 2026–27 season, the club is primed for continental action after being placed into Group D of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season. Alongside their ambitious European aspirations, they will simultaneously balance intense domestic duties as they pursue silverware in both Germany’s easyCredit BBL and the BBL-Pokal.
