The BKT EuroCup hierarchy is evolving ahead of the upcoming 2026–27 campaign, as Napoli and ratiopharm Ulm lock down roster upgrades on Tuesday.
The Italian side acquired Kaleb Tarczewski on a one-year contract. The 33-year-old center brings elite size and immense high-level experience, having previously appeared in 156 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games during a tenure with AX Armani Exchange Milan between 2017 and 2022. Tarczewski, who played NCAA basketball for Arizona and spent one season with the G League’s Oklahoma City Blue, returns to Europe and Italy following a productive stint in Japan. This move marks his debut in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball. The seven-footer enters a formidable Group C unit coached by Jasmin Repesa, which already features a lineup including Markel Brown, Guglielmo Caruso, Jeff Dowtin Jr., Leonardo Faggian, Andrej Jakimovski, John Petrucelli, Jahmi’us Ramsey, Assane Sankare, Zac Seljaas, Marco Spissu, Leonardo Tote, and Jack White.
Meanwhile, the German rival reinforced its backcourt by formally welcoming Marvin Heckel. The 29-year-old, 1.90-meter point guard earned his spot after a successful trial during the team’s preseason training camp. Heckel integrates into an ambitious roster guided by head coach Ty Harrelson as they prepare for Group D of the Regular Season. The point guard joins a comprehensive rotation that already includes Adam Atamna, Mohamed Diakite, Meissa Faye, Nil Failenschmid Clavera, Dwayne Koroma, Lenny Liedtke, Teo Milicic, Zoran Milicic, Namori Omog, Michael Rataj, Devin Schmidt, Oluwasimisola Shittu, Jaylen Sims, Yanu Slingerland, Armel Traore, and Ibi Watson.
