JL Bourg and Balkan Botevgrad have adjusted their rosters amid slow starts to the 2026–27 BKT EuroCup Regular Season. Both clubs sit at 0-2 in their respective groups. Front-office moves completed Tuesday bring immediate help to both lineups.
In Group C, the defending champions needed urgent backcourt depth. Tyger Campbell signed as a medical replacement, a short-term contract given to a player recruited exclusively to replace an injured squad member, as defined by France’s Betclic Elite regulations. The 26-year-old playmaker covers for Tyson Walker, who is sidelined for six weeks. Hugo Robineau is also out.
The former UCLA standout stands at 1.80 meters. During his professional career, he has played in France, Germany, and Australia. Spending the summer training to stay in game shape, the plan is for him to formally join the squad and perhaps debut in upcoming Betclic Elite Regular Season action opposite Boulazac in Le Palio on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Bulgarian side strengthened its frontcourt in Group D. The team signed Sukhmail Mathon. The 208-centimeter center brings low-post strength. He has played across the Netherlands, Czechia, Lithuania, and Slovenia. The move reunited the former Patriot League Player of the Year with his Boston University teammate between 2017 and 2022, Javante McCoy.
Mathon already debuted during Round 2 action, tallying two points, six rebounds, and three assists in 19:16. Campbell will soon join him in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball.
Both clubs hope these new pieces will secure their first victories of the Regular Season with 12 fixtures remaining in a battle for a top-four ticket to the Eightfinals.
