PAOK have secured the signing of Salon Vilpas guard Leland Walker, Eurohoops confirms. The 23-year-old American, who stands at 1.85 meters, will initially remain on loan with the Finnish club.
Walker will stay with Vilpas at least until the end of their Basketball Champions League campaign. The Finnish side currently sit bottom of their group at 0–2, alongside AEK, Antwerp and Szombathely.
Should Vilpas be eliminated, another loan to a BCL club could follow, with PAOK keen for Walker to continue gaining European experience.
Through two BCL appearances, Walker is averaging 24.5 points and 7.5 assists, ranking fourth in the competition in both categories, along with 3.5 rebounds. He is shooting 44.1% on two-pointers (15/34) and 25% from beyond the arc (3/12).
Walker first attracted attention during the BCL qualifiers, scoring 42 points to lead Salon Vilpas to a 98–96 victory over Oradea.
Ο ΠΑΟΚ συμφώνησε με τον παίκτη έκπληξη του BCL, Λέλαντ Γουόκερ για 2,5 χρόνια κ θα τον δώσει δανεικό για φέτος.
