Cedevita Olimpija has extended the contract of David Skara through the end of the 2028–29 campaign. The deal was announced on Friday.
The Croatian big has become a key player for the Dragons since moving in from Split in the summer of 2025. During his debut year in Ljubljana, Skara swept all three domestic trophies and helped the roster reach the BKT EuroCup and AdmiralBet ABA League Quarterfinals. He even delivered a signature moment by hitting a double-overtime buzzer-beater against Krka in the Slovenian finals.
The versatile forward, who currently posts 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in continental play, expressed his gratitude for the new deal. “I’m grateful to the club for their trust and for the opportunity to continue in Ljubljana. I’ve felt at home here from day one, and for that I have to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, everyone at the club and the fans,” he said. “I’m pleased to remain part of Cedevita Olimpija, but at the same time I know there’s still a lot of work ahead of us.”
David Škara and Cedevita Olimpija reached an agreement on extension of the cooperation.
The Croatian international stays in Ljubljana at least until the end of the 2028/29 season!
