PAOK will have to learn to live and play without Cedi Osman for the next three months (at least). The forward for the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” underwent an arthroscopic repair of an extensive meniscal injury, with his recovery period estimated at three months.
Following this period, the Turkish international will begin his gradual reintegration into the team’s activities. Update from PAOK
“Cedi Osman underwent a successful surgery in Istanbul this afternoon to repair an injury to the meniscus in his right knee. Specifically, an arthroscopic repair of an extensive meniscal tear was performed.
Trinchieri on Osman: “It’s a mistake to even think that we can replace him.”
The procedure was performed by Baris Kocaoglu, the doctor for the Turkish National Basketball Team, in the presence of PAOK BC’s team physician, Michail Samaras.
The estimated recovery time is three months. Following this, Cedi Osman will begin his gradual reintegration into PAOK’s competitive schedule.
We all stand with Cedi Osman, and we are confident that he will return even stronger!”
As it stands, the three-month period will conclude on February 7th—barring any unforeseen complications—leaving Osman in a race against time to be available for the final stretch of PAOK’s season in the Stoiximan GBL and the EuroCup. Meanwhile, the Greek Cup, which is traditionally held in mid-February, makes his participation highly unlikely. Let us not forget that, according to the statement issued by PAOK, Osman will begin his return process after the three-month mark.
