The Israeli basketball federation informed Hapoel Jerusalem that “they are not elifible to register to the 2016-17 season”, after a similar reaction last night in Russia.
Hapoel Jerusalem is one of the 24 Eurocup teams, the reaction by the federation is expected, however at this point it’s still unclear what result will have. Hapoel Jerusalem is excluded from the Israeli cup, but on the other hand the Israeli league has not taken any position yet on the matter.
The federation implies that Jerusalem is also out of the Israeli league for the upcoming season, however that remains to be seen.
