Lietuvos Rytas has renewed Arturas Jomantas’ contract for 2 more season as the club officially announced.

The 31-year-old Lithuanian forward returned to Lietuvos Rytas last season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 21 Lithuanian League games. He began the 2015-16 season with Siauliai, averaging 11.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in 26 games before joining Rytas.

In his first presence with the club, from 2006 to 2013, Jomantas helped Rytas win the Eurocup title in 2009 and reached the final in 2007. He also lifted back to back LKL trophies in 2009 and 2010, as well as two Baltic League titles in 2007 and 2009.

He has also played for several Lithuanian teams like Mazeikiai Nafta, Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys and Dzukija Alytus. and has been a member of the Lithuanian national team with which he won a gold medal at the 2005 U21 FIBA World Championship and collected three other medals at youth level – silver at the 2005 U20 European Championships and the 2003 U19 World Championships, bronze at the 2004 U20 European Championships.
