Facu Campazzo has confirmed on his twitter account that he will stay in the Spanish team, as previously mentioned, and now the signing has been made official.

He is currently playing in the 2016 Olympics with Argentina and averaged 12.6 points and 5.3 assists in 37 Spanish League games with Murcia last season, helping it reach the playoffs for the first time in club history.

Campazzo joined Madrid before the start of the 2014-15 season and helped win the club’s ninth EuroLeague trophy, not to mention the Spanish League and Spanish Cup, by season’s end.

Campazzo had joined Madrid from Peñarol Mar del Plata of his native Argentina, where he made debut in 2008 and stayed until 2014, winning four Argentinean League titles.

He was Argentinean Finals MVP in 2012 and Argentinean Cup MVP in 2010. In his final season at home, Campazzo averaged 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.1 steals in 48 Argentinean League games in the 2013-14 season.

He helped Argentina win the 2012 South American championships, get a silver medal at the 2015 FIBA Americas Tournament and a bronze in 2013.
