Second victory in a row for Nizhny Novgorod in Eurocup. The Russians faced some pretty intense resistance by MZT Skopje, yet ultimately managed to subdue their opponents 88 – 74 in overtime.

Nizhny entered the extra five minute-period with a 9 – 0 run which proved to be more than enough. It took the team from FYROM no less than three minutes to score in OT something that left them behind for good until the final buzzer.

Coach Stalberg’s players generally put some notable teamwork on court. Kenneth Boynton and Ivan Strebkov dropped 18 points each (the latter also grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists). Siim Sander-Vene had a double-double of 15 points/10 rebounds while Max Grigoryev added 13 points. DeAndre Kane wasn’t at his shooting best (8 points with 3/12 from the field) yet had 12 rebounds and 7 assists.

For MZT Skopje, Xavier Thames scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, Stefan Sinovec added 15 points and Josh Scott 14 points plus 9 rebounds.
