Unicaja made things easy in the second half and reached its first semifinals win.

In the first of their best-of-three semifinals, Unicaja emerged victoriously with 57-73 in Krasnodar.

Led behind Jeff Brook’s 18-point performance, the Spanish team dominated the second half, keeping double digit leads for the most part. Kyle Fogg followed with 15 points, while for Lokomotiv, Kevin Jones was the leading scorer with 17 points.

Early in the game, the Russians were in charge, as Ryan Broekhoff placed them ahead 19-10 at 8′. The visitors trimmed to 19-15 after the first period and they tied the game to 25 points in the second. A shot by Daniel Diez made the score 31-33 in Unicaja‘s favor at halftime.

With a partial 11-2 score in the final period, the visitors expanded their lead to 46-57 at 34’.
