The 26-year old American-Dominican Roland Roberts recently played in Australia for the Adelaide 36ers and has also played in the G-League in the United States, Turkey, and the Philippines.
The 2.03m power-forward played 10 games last season with Tofas in Turkey and averaged 11.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
An interesting story surrounds the player. In early October, the NBL Regular Season was set to begin with the Adelaide 36ers facing off Melbourne United, when the 36ers released him due to a ‘knee injury’ suffered by the big man. As it appears no-one had informed Roberts who claimed he was completely fine:
Actually I have no injury whatsoever…reports are false I’m 100 percent fine

A family member close to Roberts also commented on the incident claiming that the team ‘had it out for Ronald’.
