Reggio Emilia recorded its first win in EuroCup quarterfinals ever by prevailing over Zenit St. Petersburg with 75-61.

The Italian side was overpowering in the second period (35-32, 20′), despite the rough start and soon built up a safe lead, which they kept throughout the second half.

Jalen Reynolds’ double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, in addition to Amedeo Della Valle’s 15 points sealed the deal for the hosts.

Sergey Karasev tapped 16 points, along with five rebounds and four assists for the Russians.

It remains to be seen whether Zenit can bounce back when they host Reggio Emilia next week.
