Lokomotiv Kuban and Darussafaka will face each other in the Final of the 7Days Eurocup as the Finals start on Tuesday (10/4). In his interview with EuroCupbasketball.com Furkan Aldemir stated his hopes that Turkish team will be the one who will win the trophy.
“We played against good teams in the quarterfinals and the semifinals, Buducnost and Bayern Munich, which had not lost at home this season,” Aldemir said and added “We got to the Finals with good confidence; I believe in my team, in my teammates, and I think we can get that cup.”
Lokomotiv will be a difficult opponent as the Russian side qualified for the Finals without a single loss in the competition. It is fair to say that the best two teams in the EuroCup this season made it to the final.
“Yes, and before the EuroCup, we already talked about that. There were some good teams in the EuroCup. I believe Bayern Munich is a good team and we counted on them, us, Lokomotiv and Gran Canaria to be the best four teams. We believed these four teams would make it to the semifinals, but due to the matchups, Gran Canaria faced Lokomotiv in the quarterfinals and another good team, Reggio Emilia, reached the semifinals. We believed we would make it to the semifinals, and we did. Then we played against Bayern and after beating them, we are in the Finals. But yes, I believe Lokomotiv and us were the best teams in the EuroCup this season, and I hope we are the ones who get the trophy.”
