Former Alba Berlin player (2013-2018) Akeem Vargas signed a two-year contract with Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt, it was officially announced.
“Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt have made shooting guard Akeem Vargas their first addition for the 2018-19 season. Vargas (1.92 meters, 28 years old), who arrives from ALBA Berlin, signed a two-year deal in Frankfurt. He averaged 4.3 points on 42.9% three-point shooting in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games for ALBA last season, including 12 as a starter. Vargas also appeared in 45 games for ALBA in the German League. He spent a total of five seasons with ALBA, made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut in 2014-15 and played a total of 66 EuroCup games in the other four campaigns. He won a pair of German Cups with the club. Vargas has also played for Ehingen, Walters Tigers Tuebingen and BG Goettingen and for the German national team.”
