Tommaso Laquintana was signed to a one-year deal, Brescia Leonessa announced Thursday. Brescia keeps an option to extend the deal for another season. Laquintana (1.88 meters, 22 years old) arrives from The Flexx Pistoia, where he averaged 6.7 points and three rebounds in 25 Italian League games last season.

He started his career with Adriatica Industriale Ruvo di Puglia and also played for several Italian teams, such as Liomatic Group Bari, Betaland Capo d’Orlando, and Angelico Biella before joining Pistoia last season. Laquintana has also been a member of the Italian U18 and U20 national teams. “I am honored to bring Tommaso Laquintana to Brescia”, Brescia president Graziella Bragaglio said. “I am convinced that in a consolidated environment like ours, with a great room of improvement, he can follow Luca Vitali’s example, from whom he can learn a lot. I hope that he joins the team with the joy and desire Brescia has at this moment and uses that energy to do well and play for the rest of the team.”
