The Lithuanian club have announced their new head coach.

44-year-old Dainius Adomaitis will be the next head coach of Lietuvos Rytas as officially announced. Adomaitis has already coached Lithuanin powerhouse Zalgiris in Euroleague during the 1999 season.

Per EuroCup Basketball:

BC Rytas Vilnius found a new coach in Dainius Adomaitis, who signed a deal with the Lithuanian and 7DAYS EuroCup powerhouse on Friday. Adomaitis, age 44, coached Neptunas Klaipeda from 2015 to 2017, helping it reach the Lithuanian League finals in 2016. He also worked for rytas as an assistant coach and also coached its junior team. A former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion with Zalgiris Kaunas in 1999, Adomaitis also played in Italy, Poland, France and Latvia before becoming a coach. His first coaching job was with Polish side Energa Czarni Slupsk, first as an assistant before being promoted in March 2010. He has also coached Anwil Wloclawek of Poland and Juventus Utenos of his native Lithuania. He has also been the Lithuanian national team coach since 2017.
