Mateusz Ponitka exercised the exit clause on his contract with Tenerife as announced on Sunday morning and Eurohoops sources mention that he’s close to signing a deal with Lokomotiv Kuban.
The aforementioned deal is set to be valid for two years, through the 2019-20 season.
24-year-old Ponitka tapped 10.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in Basketball Champions League this past season and he’s set to make his return to EuroCup after the 2015-16 season when he even earned the ‘Rising Star’ honor while playing for Zielona Gora.
