French center Moustapha Fall will be signing with ASVEL Villeurbanne, according to Eurohoops sources. The player is returning to France following a one-year stint with Sakarya Buyuksehir.
In 2017-2018, Fall averaged 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 27 games of the BSL regular season, helping Sakarya qualify to the playoffs for the first time in the history of the club.
Prior to joining Sakarya, Fall had a successful season on both individual and team level in the French Pro League with Elan Chalon. The 26-year-old French player was named “Best Defender of the Year” in 2016-2017 while Chalon won their second ever championship title.
Now Fall is back in France to sign with Tony Parker’s ASVEL Apart from playing in Pro A he will also debut in EuroCup.
Fall had also been a target of Lokomotiv Kuban. The Russian club will search for another center to pair with already-signed Jamel McLean.
