Stratos Perperoglou joined Crvena Zvezda this summer and with a new coach Milan Tomic, he will try to push the Serbian team in the ABA League and in the 7Days Eurocup as well.

In his interview for the Basketball Sphere, the Greek forward spoke about his new club, coach Tomic and ambitions.

Crvena Zvezda is a club with a tradition, history and a big fan base. I have always enjoyed playing in Belgrade. I talked with coach Tomic when he was signed his contract. He worked in Olympiacos together and we had a professional relationship in these years. I believe he was ready to become the first coach years ago. He worked with a lot of good coaches, he has a great experience and winning attitude. It was about a time for this step and I am sure he will do a great job“, said Perperogloue.

The Greek recalled his first basketball steps and the connection with the Serbian basketball.

My first coach was a Serb, my whole career was shaped by the Serbian school of basketball. I believe that Serbs and Greeks have the similar mentality. I learned from them that I have to work hard to be disciplined and to always be ready. The Serbian basketball school was the most successful and had the most influenced. I am blessed that I had the chance to work with one of the bests coaches in Europe.”

I will try to help my teammates, especially the younger ones, with my experience. I will be happy if the team achieve its goals. Whatever coach Tomic asks from me I will try to do it the best I can.”, finished Perperogloue.
