Zenit announced the extension of Evgeny Voronov‘s contract through summer of 2020 Friday.

The 32-year-old guard arrived at the Russian team last season and was named team captain. Voronov posted an average of 8.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 18 EuroCup games last season.

After the announcement, Voronov commented on his extension with the club:

“I am very pleased to extend my contract with Zenit. My family and I are comfortable in St. Petersburg, so we are all happy that we will spend at least the next two years here. I am grateful to the club for the trust and will pay it off with my game and dedication on the court.”
