A day after parting ways with Brandon Jennings, Zenit St. Petersburg suffered a major upset at home.

Dolomiti Energia Trento registered its most impressive win in the 2018-2019 EuroCup so far by coming back from 22 points down at halftime to beat title contender Zenit St. Petersburg 102 – 99 in overtime on the road.

Bego Gomes and Aaron Craft had two sensational performances for the winning squad. Gomes notched 28 points and seven rebounds while Craft had a double-double of 17 points and 13 assists for a game-high 31 PIR. Diego Flaccadori added 16 points, as many as Davide Pascolo who also had five rebounds and five assists.

Sergey Karasev scored 20 points and dished out seven assists for Zenit that was up 52 – 30 at the break yet crumbled down afterward, especially in the fourth period when Trento scored 35 points to complete the comeback and force the overtime.

In the other Group C game held on Wednesday (21/11), Valencia punched a Top 16 ticket by defeating Partizan Belgrade 69 – 61 on the road behind Sam Van Rossom’s 20 points and five assists plus Bojan Dubljevic’s double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

On Tuesday (20/11), ASVEL advanced to the Top 16 thanks to a win over Turk Telekom.
