Fraport Skyliners beat Mornar Bar 87 – 73 on the road in the game that concluded Round 9 in EuroCup’s Group D.
This result eliminated Mornar Bar while it was a much welcome outcome for Rytas Vilnius that automatically advanced to the Top 16. The Lithuanian team had already made sure to put themselves in a pole position thanks to an overtime road win over Fiat Turin, Tuesday.
Erik Murphy scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds for Fraport while Antabia Waller had 15 points, five steals, four boards and four assists for Mornar Bar.
In Kazan, Errick McCollum scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds, Pierria Henry had a diverse game of 16 points, eight assists and six rebounds and Unics Kazan defeated Unicaja Malaga 87 – 84 to clinch top spot in the Group.
Giorgi Shermadini finished with 21 points and seven rebounds for Malaga. Kyle Wiltjer added 16 points.
