Group H Roundup: Unics Kazan goes to quarterfinals, leaves Zenit St. Petersburg out

Unics Kazan booked a ticket to EuroCup’s next stage, eliminating fellow Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg in the process.

Errick McCollum scored 19 points and Unics Kazan beat Zenit St. Petersburg 87 – 62 to become the second EuroCup Group H  team to advance in the quarterfinals.

Jamar Smith added 15 points and Raymar Morgan 12 for Unics that didn’t was better from start to finish. With four minutes remaining, Dimitris Priftis’ squad went up even by 23 points, 52 – 75.

Zenit lost the match and this result ended its quarterfinals hopes. Jarred Uthof had 13 points, Jalen Reynolds 10 points, and Phil Scrubb 10 points, five assists and four boards.

The top spot of the Group will go to Andorra that remained undefeated by beating already eliminated Cedevita Zagreb 87 – 81 behind Dylan Ennis’ 17 points and six rebounds plus John Shurna’s 17 points and five boards.
