Rytas Vilnius retained its quarterfinal chances by eliminating Partizan Belgrade

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Artsiom Parakhouski scored a season-high 22 points (10/11 f.g.) including the game-winning jumper and grabbed eight rebounds, as Rytas Vilnius defeated Partizan Belgrade 77 – 78 on the road in a “do-or-die” game for both teams regarding their future in EuroCup.

It’s Rytas that preserves its chances of making it to the quarterfinals thanks to this bucket by Parakhouski.

Partizan had taken a lead following a block by Jock Landale (Partizan’s top scorer with 14 points) on Parakhouski’s layup attempt and a basket by the Australian center on the other end. The Serbian team had come back from an 11-point deficit but it was Rytas that smiled in the end.

For Partizan, Alex Renfroe flirted with the triple-double by finishing with 13 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.

Thus the last remaining quarterfinals ticket in the Group will be grabbed by either Rytas or AS Monaco. The latter was defeated by Alba Berlin Tuesday, a result that clinched top spot for the German side.
