Group F Roundup: ASVEL grabs first place in Ajinca’s EuroCup debut

Charles Kahudi put on a strong two-way performance to push ASVEL towards win over Lokomotiv Kuban.

ASVEL Villeurbanne beat Lokomotiv Kuban 72 – 61 in the battle for the top spot of EuroCup’s Group F.

Charles Kahud posted 13 points and 10 rebounds for a team-high 18 PIR. DeMarcus Nelson added 12 points, five assists, and four rebounds while Amine Noua had 11 points. Miro Bilan scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.

It was also Alexis Ajinca’s EuroCup debut with the French team. The former NBAer played 15:57 minutes and scored 10 points with 3/5 2-pointers and 1/3 triples. He also grabbed four rebounds.

For Loko, that will finish the Top 16 at the second place in the Group, Dorrell Wright finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Ratiopharm Ulm prevailed over Fraport Skyliners 83 – 68. David Kraemer was the top performer for Ulm with 15 points and six boards while Tyler Larson (24 points, nine rebounds) was the only player that stood out from Fraport.
