Alba Berlin point guard Stefan Peno may miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the German League over the weekend.
Peno, 21, suffered a dislocated patella on his left knee after landing awkwardly during Saturday’s game against medi Bayreuth. An MRI performed later that night showed the injury and he underwent surgery on Sunday in Berlin and the recovery is expected to take several months.
Peno has appeared in all of his team’s 7DAYS EuroCup games this season and averaged 5.9 points plus 4.8 assists, the latter ranking him ninth in the competition.
