Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar announced the signing of head coach Luca Banchi for the upcoming season this Friday. Banchi, 53, spent the previous season with AEK Athens in the Basketball Champions League, leading them to their first FIBA Intercontinental Cup title in Rio De Janeiro.
This will be Banchi’s first time in Russia, after spending most of his career in Italy (Olimpia Milano, Siena, Trieste, and Torino among other teams).
