The veteran big man has signed a two-year deal with the Russian club

Alex Tyus is leaving Tel Aviv for Kazan, as his new team, UNICS Kazan, announced today that Tyus is their new addition.

The former Maccabi player signed a two-year (1+1) contract and will compete in the VTB United League and the 7DAYS EuroCup.

One of the best shot blockers in the EuroLeague, Tyus averaged 7.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, and 1.1 bpg last season. Since 2013 Tyus was a member of Maccabi with two breaks n the 2015-16 season when he played for Anadolu Efes and then in the 2016-17 season when he played for Galatasaray.
