The Greek guard is moving to Russia and will play outside the Greek borders for the first time in his career

Vangelis Mantzaris is the new addition on UNICS Kazan roster. The 29 years old guard who was part of the Olympiacos back-to-back winning EuroLeague titles, is leaving the Reds after eight seasons.

During his years with Olympiacos, Mantzaris besides the two EuroLeague titles won also three Greek League titles.

As a member of the junior national basketball teams of Greece, Mantzaris won the gold medal at the 2008 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship and the silver medal at the 2009 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. Mantzaris also won the gold medal at the 2009 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, and the silver medal at the 2010 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, with Greece’s junior national teams. He remains an active member of the Greek national team.
