Deividas Sirvydis discussed his NBA future and his plans for the 2019-20 season in an interview posted on the official site of LKL, the Lithuanian Basketball League. The 19-year-old Lithuanian guard was the 37th pick of the 2019 NBA draft and afterwards played with the Detroit Pistons in the Summer League at Las Vegas, but will not make the jump to the NBA this year.

“I believe I will be playing in Lithuania this season” he mentioned and added: “I am happy to stay in Vilnius because Rytas is a great organization and Vilnius is my city.”

Sirvydis played in five Summer League contests averaging 1.8 points in 6.9 minutes of action. He already returned to Lithuania and is preparing for the upcoming season with Rytas, but might move overseas next summer.

“The goal is to get in the Pistons’ roster as soon as possible, but there is still a long time to go. I plan to travel back to Detroit after the end of the upcoming season” he explained.

Last year, the Lithuanian upstart averaged 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest in the 7DAYS EuroCup. He is now set for his third EuroCup campaign.
