Buducnost VOLI will begin its 2019-20 season without Igor Drobnjak. The 19-year-old Montenegrin point guard suffered a left foot injury similar to his right foot injury that prevented him from debuting in EuroLeague last year. He will be sidelined for at least two or three months.

Per EuroCup: “Buducnost VOLI Podgorica will not have up-and-coming guard Igor Drobnjak for the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season after he suffered a foot injury this week. Drobnjak (1.94 meters, 19 years old) was broke a metatarsal bone in his left foot in practice and is expected to be sidelined for at least two or three months.

Drobnjak did not debut with Buducnost in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season due to a similar injury in his right foot. He later appeared in 14 domestic games, however, averaging 4.1 points with high shooting percentages, helping Buducnost win the Montenegrin national title.

Drobnjak has also represented Buducnost and U18 Mega Bemax Belgrade in three editions of the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament between 2016 and 2018.”
