EuroCup Group A Roundup: Bologna and Andorra get convincing wins

Virtus Bologna stayed perfect this season with a win over Maccabi Rishon while Andorra bounced back against Ulm and Monaco survived a late comeback by Promitheas

Segafredo Virtus Bologna is yet to suffer a defeat this season, and the latest win came against Maccabi Rishon LeZion with a 96-77 score in 7DAYS EuroCup Round 2.

Frank Gaines scored 21 points for Bologna while Stefan Markovic added 15. Milos Teodosic and Giampaolo Ricci scored 11 points each with the latter also grabbing ten rebounds.

For Maccabi, Alex Hamilton scored 18 and Jordan Swing 17 points.

MoraBanc Andorra started slow but completely took over later on for a 97-78 home win against ratiopharm Ulm.

Dejan Todorovic scored 15 for the victors followed by David Jelinek with 12 and Nacho Llovet with 11 points. For Ulm, Derek Willis nailed 22 in addition to Tyler Harvey’s 15 points.

Despite a late comeback effort by Promitheas Patras, AS Monaco held on and got away with a narrow 77-74 road win in the end.

Dylan Ennis led the way with 19 points while Eric Buckner added 16 and Anthony Clemmons 13 points. For Promitheas, Octavius Ellis scored 17 and Dimitris Agravanis 14 points.
