A career night by Martynas Echodas was not enough for the hosts against the Italians

Jeremy Chappell led the charge with 21 points, Julyan Stone and Mitchell Watt added 14 points, and Umana Reyer Venezia got the 81-72 road win over Rytas Vilnius, despite a memorable performance by Martynas Echodas.

The 22-years old Lithuanian scored 26 points on 11/17 FG and grabbed six rebounds, but it was simply not enough as the hosts got the win for the 7DaysEuroCup Group B and have a 3-2 record.

The Italians got a comfortable 46-29 half time lead, and the best things Rytas did was to cut it to five (57-52) in the third period. However, they couldn’t get any closer and Venezia kept things under control until the end thanks to a great shooting night that also included 14/31 threes.

After this result, the hosts have just one win in five EuroCup games.
