Unicaja Malaga crushed EWE Oldenburg 108 – 68 at home to improve its EuroCup Group Stage record to 7-2. Coach Luis Casimiro’s players scored an outstanding number of 41 points in the third period to dispatch their opponents.

Now Malaga needs a win of Buducnost over Galatasaray to clinch top spot in Group D. Oldenburg, that is already qualified to the Top 16, dropped to 5-4 and has one more round to improve its position in the Group.

Five Malaga players scored in double figures. Josh Adams had 16 points, Axel Toupane 15 (plus seven rebounds), Volodymyr Gerun 12 (and five boards) and newcomer Dario Brizuela 10 points. Carlos Suarez added a quite diverse contribution of 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

For Oldenburg, Gerry Blakes finished with 23 points. Justin Sears posted 12 points and six rebounds.
