Promitheas is ready to add Loukas Mavrokefalidis. The official announcement is pending, but Ionikos Nikaias Affidea already confirmed his departure via press release.

The 35-year-old big will take Giorgos Bogris’ spot in Makis Giatras’ squad. Joining the Patras club marks his 7DAYS EuroCup comeback following 68 appearances between Rytas Vilnius, AEK, Spartak Saint-Petersburg, Maroussi and PAOK. He also has 104 EuroLeague games under his belt.

As for his 2019-20 campaign, he returned to Greece starting the season with Ionikos. Stellar play described by 19.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per match over 12 Basket League contests went a long way on Promitheas adding him ahead of the Top 16 stage of EuroCup.

Umana Reyer Venezia, Germani Leonessa Brescia and EWE Baskets Oldenburg are the Top 16 foes for his second 2019-20 team. In the Greek league, Promitheas carries a 9-3 record, good enough for second place behind Panathinaikos OPAP.
