Promitheas Patras will be signing two-time (2012, 2013) EuroLeague champion Vangelis Mantzaris. The Greek point guard is leaving Unics Kazan, with which he began the season, and return to play in his native country.
Unics had announced the signing of American guard Jordan Theodore on Friday.
Mantzaris averaged 11.9 minutes per game with Unics in EuroCup, during which he averaged 1.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists. He’ll continue playing in EuroCup with Promitheas, which advanced to the Top 16 in its maiden campaign in the competition.
On Promitheas, Mantzaris will reunite with former Olympiacos Piraeus teammates Dimitris Agravanis and Dimitris Katsivelis.
