Zalgiris Kaunas captain Paulius Jankunas became EuroLeague’s all-time rebounding leader in the win of his team over Crvena Zvezda Wednesday (15/1).
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Jankunas collected his third rebound to reach a career number of 1783 and thus pass now-second-placed Felipe Reyes, the captain of Real Madrid.
Jankunas, a veteran of 17 seasons in EuroLeague, has spent all his career in the competition with Zalgiris except the 2009-2010 when he played for Russian club Khimki Moscow. He was named in the All-EuroLeague Second Team in the 2017-2018 season after helping the club reach the Final Four for the first time since 1999.
