Lefteris Mantzoukas set a new Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament single game scoring record on Saturday with 49 points to his name. His 20 free throws made and 23 attempted were new records as well.

He guided the U18 squad of Promitheas to the 93-87 win against the U18 team of ALBA Berlin in 2019-20 Adidas Next Generation Tournament Round 2 affair at Munich, Germany.

His 49 points boosted by 7/12 twos and 5/12 threes saw him over the previous single game scoring record of 43 points set by Dragan Bender back in 2014.

Aside the scoring bonanza, the young Greek forward gathered 19 rebounds, dished one assist, made three interceptions and earned 14 fouls. His 65 PIR ranks third all-time in the competition behind Bender’s 66 and Nikola Mirotic’s 84.
