Olympiacos Piraeus sent a letter to EuroLeague Basketball requesting for the transfer ban that has been imposed by the organization’s Finance Panel to be lifted.

EuroLeague had announced that Olympiacos was banned from “registering new players or head coaches” due to “alleged infringement of overdue payables, omitting to provide information, and unfulfillment of agreed Compliance Plans,” earlier on Friday (31/1).

Olympiacos says that that the club doesn’t have any financial loose ends. In their letter, the “Reds” also asked EuroLeague financial and managerial services to have better communication in order to avoid such issues.

On Monday, Olympiacos announced the addition of center Octavius Ellis. One day before the EuroLeague game vs. Baskonia, coach Giorgos Bartzokas said that the club may sign a guard if they find something suitable in the market.
