A few hours before Wednesday’s deadline for Turkish Airlines EuroLeague clubs to add players, CSKA Moscow and Ryan Broekhoff engaged in talks, but no agreement will be made, Eurohoops sources confirm. Signing the 29-year-old Australian swingman was already considered a long shot.
The former Besiktas and Lokomotiv Kuban player was recently waived by the Dallas Mavericks. Played in 59 NBA games with the Texas organization the past couple of seasons averaging 4 points and 1.8 rebounds.
CSKA’s roster looks set for the rest of the 2019-20 season with Dimitris Itoudis’ team currently packing a 17-8 W-L record. Apart fourth place in the EuroLeague Regular Season sits second in the VTB United League with a 14-4 tally.
