Anthony Gill and Sergey Karasev resumed practices, as noted by Khimki Moscow Region in the official preview of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 26 home game versus LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. Both are expected to return to action on Friday evening.

“Due to a short break, we were able to treat our injuries. Now we are almost a complete team, although we still lack Jeremy Evans, one of our best rebounders,” mentioned head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis commenting on his injury list. Apart from Evans, Timofey Mozgov, and Petr Gubanov remain out as well.

Gill and Karasev were sidelined with leg injuries from early February. The American forward was averaging 9 points, 4.7 boards and 1.3 assists per EuroLeague outing. His teammate had 3.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest. During their absence, Khimki improved to 11-14, good enough for a four-way tie in eighth place of the standings.

The Russian outlet also ranks first in the VTB United League packing a 17-1 W-L tally. Over 12 matches, Gill has averaged 11.3 points per tilt, while Karasev contributed with 6.7 points per appearance through 15 games.
