Valencia Basket responded to the health authorities’ recommendations made on Tuesday afternoon at a press conference in regards to the game vs. Olimpia Milano. The Generalitat had suggested the game to be played behind closed doors, though the team reassures that there’s no danger.

Valencia has verified that no tickets have been sold to Italian fans, while out of La Fontetta’s total seating capacity of 8,000, 7,750 seats are reserved by fans with annual tickets. The team also confirmed in their announcement that the rest of the tickets have been sold to the local public.

Spanish Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, commented Wednesday that “any club will have to abide by and accept” to play behind closed doors due to the coronavirus and has made it clear that the game will have to be played behind closed doors, as reported on superdeporte.es.
