Panathinaikos OPAP released a statement accusing Olympiacos of acts of violence during Tuesday’s game at Peace and Friendship Stadium.

In their detailed statement, the Greens call the Greek state to take action for violent events that followed Dimitris Giannakopoulos’ presence in Piraeus to attend the Round 27 game between the two Greek rivals.

Among other things, the statement mentions that “in full cooperation with masked men, those that the Olympiacos owners have been embracing recently, they took care of creating a climate of terrorism for our team.”

Panathinaikos also mentions an attack on a team Board member, calling EuroLeague to take action as well.

The Greens have also sent letters to the Greek deputy minister of Sports, the Greek minister of civil protection and to Forthnet, the Greek television right holder of the EuroLeague, making the same protest about Tuesday’s game.

Earlier in the day, Euroleague Basketball opened disciplinary procedures for Olympiacos, concerning the events during their game vs. Panathinaikos and the verdict is expected to be announced soon.
