Olympiacos forward/center Augustine Rubit, swingman Brandon Paul and center Octavius Ellis left Greece for their native USA in light of the suspended season in EuroLeague due to the coronavirus pandemic. Reds guards Taylor Rochestie and Wade Baldwin will also be leaving on Saturday (21/3) and Friday (20/3) respectively.

The Greek club had given permission to its foreign players to return to their countries per their discretion since no games and practices will be held until further notice. Maccabi Tel Aviv took a similar route regarding its non-Israeli players/coaches, with most of them opting to remain in Israel.

Zalgiris Kaunas and ASVEL also permitted their foreign players to return to their countries. That makes a total of four EuroLeague teams out of eighteen.

EuroLeague shut down indefinitely on March 12 after the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic.
