Four Fenerbahce Beko members, one player, one technical staff member, and two administrative workers were found positive to COVID-19 as the club announced.

According to the press release:

As a result of the controls made by Fenerbahçe Beko Basketball Team to athletes, technical staff and administrative team, detailed medical examinations were carried out on Saturday, March 21, and the samples were sent to our Ministry of Health.

According to the test results from our Ministry of Health, the COVID-19 test results were positive for a total of four people, including one athlete, one technical team member, and two administrative employees.

As stated in our previous press release, there is no clinical picture requiring them to be hospitalized except for an administrative employee.

Our athletes and employees follow the healing processes in their homes under isolation and their condition is regularly monitored by our healthcare teams.

One of our administrative staff had been hospitalized for precautionary reasons. His coronavirus tests came back negative in new examinations. Our administrative staff member was discharged from the hospital where he was treated after his tests came back negative, and he was taken to his home to complete the 14-day quarantine process.

The names of our athletes and employees with positive coronavirus results are not disclosed on the basis of respecting the patient’s privacy unless the public is informed by them.

Fenerbahce press officer Ilker Ucer announced that he is one of the four patients. Team manager Cenk Renda, who had been hospitalized with coronavirus symptoms, tested negative.
