Andrei Kirilenko finally announced via the Russian newspaper “Sport-Express” what everyone was expecting after his mid-season return to Europe.
The Russian basketball icon decided that he is done playeing basketball: “This is the end of my career as a player. It’s enough. I was playing for a long time and with enough success, but now it’s my time to have a different role in basketball”. The question after this announcement is in which capacity Kirilenko may stay in the sport, as most in Russia expect from him to be involved in the Russian basketball federation.
