Ryan Broekhoff was presented to be among the top candidates on Maccabi‘s radar as reported by Sport5. However, the club issued the following denial on Twitter: “It was published today that Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv is “working on the next season” and “targeting/interested” in players. We are clarifying here that this is false. The club doesn’t do that nowadays”.
The 29-year-old Australian spent the previous two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks and was waived early in February and his name is considered a possibility for many EuroLeague clubs.
Prior to the Mavs, Broekhoff made his professional debut with Besiktas in 2013 and moved to Lokomotiv Kuban in 2015 with a three-year deal. He was named in the 7DAYS EuroCup First Team in 2018.
